A Slice of history

Today we're honored to say that Morris' Tavern and Restaurant has been Sidman's favorite place for food and fun for more than 48 years, but back in 1973, when 23-year-old Terry Morris bought the building, we were just a little-known bar across the street from the then newly-founded Forest Hills High.

Over the next 24 years, Terry (with the help of his wife Kim, who joined him in 1982) worked to add more original recipes to our menu, unique wildlife decor to our ambience and extra dining space to our upper floor, expanding our once-small business into a local institution and fulfilling his lifelong dream. With Terry's 1997 passing, Kim took the reins, keeping Sidman's favorite place growing and thriving. Today, with the hard work of her husband and partner Ken Golias, Kim is celebrating 45 years of success, which she always attributes to her excellent staff and to the wonderful friends and customers who have kept coming back to Morris' for over four decades. Regulars will tell you the good food and even better friendship have brought them back to see us week after week.

With a constant commitment to quality, we still pride ourselves on serving the best food in town. Every morning our pizza dough begins with flour and yeast and is rolled by hand, the chili is made from scratch from Terry's original recipe, salads are made fresh and each wing sauce is handcrafted. It's the way we've always done it and the way we always will do it. While the world has changed a lot since 1973, we haven't, so come grab a stool at our bar, a seat with a view on our beautiful deck or your favorite corner booth and enjoy the pizza you grew up with, the friends you've missed and an undeniable taste of home.
